Purpose and nature of the platform

upm.md is the official platform of the Union of Furniture Manufacturers: a digital catalogue presenting the furniture producers of the Republic of Moldova and a contact point for B2B and export partnerships. The site is strictly informational and serves to facilitate contact. The content is not a public offer within the meaning of the Civil Code of the Republic of Moldova and does not, by itself, create contractual relations between users and producers.

Provider of the information-society service, within the meaning of Law no. 284/2004 on electronic commerce: the “Union of Furniture Manufacturers” NGO, a non-commercial association (asociație obștească) registered in the State Register of Non-Commercial Organisations, IDNO 1012600023553, not registered for VAT, with its registered office at bd. Eligibility and acceptable use

You may use the site if you have the legal capacity to accept these terms. By using the platform you undertake to observe the following:

  • You use the site only for lawful purposes that comply with these terms.
  • You do not copy, automatically harvest (scrape) or bulk-republish the content without UPM’s consent.
  • You do not submit false information, abusive messages, spam or content that infringes the rights of third parties.
  • You do not attempt to compromise the security, availability or integrity of the platform.
  • You use the contact form with genuine data and respect the anti-spam mechanism (Cloudflare Turnstile).

Producer listings and accuracy of information

The information about the producers presented is provided by them or collected from sources deemed reliable. Each producer is responsible for the accuracy, timeliness and legality of its own data — descriptions, prices, offers and contact details. UPM makes reasonable efforts to verify and update the catalogue but does not guarantee that the information is complete or error-free. Contact details and offers should be confirmed directly with each producer.

Intellectual property

The trademarks, trade names, logos and materials of member companies belong to their respective owners and are used on the site with their consent, solely for presentation in the catalogue. The structure, texts, design and other elements proper to upm.md are protected by Law no. 139/2010 on copyright and related rights and belong to UPM or its licensors. The content may not be reproduced, distributed or used commercially without the written consent of UPM or of the rights holders. Viewing and limited quotation, with attribution of the source, are permitted.

Third-party links and B2B contact

The site may contain links to the pages of producers or other third parties, over which UPM has no control and for whose content, products or policies it is not responsible. UPM facilitates contact between producers and partners but does not take part in negotiations and is not a party to the contracts or commercial transactions between them.

UPM is not a party to the commercial transactions between producers and partners and is not liable for their performance, quality, delivery or payment. Any contract is concluded directly and exclusively between the producer and the partner.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose. UPM does not warrant that the site will operate without errors or interruptions or that the information published will always be current.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, UPM is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site, from decisions taken on the basis of the information published, or from relations with producers or third parties. Nothing in these terms limits liability that, under the law of the Republic of Moldova, cannot be excluded — for example for intent or gross negligence — nor the mandatory rights of consumers.

Privacy and cookies

The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, and the use of cookies in the Cookie Policy. Processing complies with the data-protection law of the Republic of Moldova (Law no. 133/2011, replaced by Law no. 195/2024 as of 23 August 2026) and, for visitors from the European Union, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Moldova. Any disputes shall be settled primarily amicably; failing an amicable solution, they fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Republic of Moldova (Chișinău). For consumers resident in other jurisdictions, this clause applies without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of their country of residence.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is held void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain valid and in effect. The affected provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that comes as close as possible to the original intent.

Contact and effective date

For questions about these terms, write to us at contact@upm.md. In the event of any discrepancy between versions, the Romanian version prevails. Effective date: October 2026.
